find beauty in
ugliness
look closer
even a dry cracked
riverbed
possesses a
repetition of shape
as the fissures
form a mosaic
such as artists
seldom dream of
even a muddy old
waterhole
reflects its
surrounds in colors
that would never
be imagined -
a brown sky can be
beautiful
even a dusty brick
wall
can own a presence
and order
that puts the mind
at peace
by its peaceful
symmetry
even a dirty
window
hides smudged
cloudy specters
of the imagined
ghosts
of they who fly in
fantasy
look closer
find beauty in
ugliness
