When loneliness hangs in the air
Like misty clouds of sadness,
Depression creeping, troll like sneaking
Silent screams of madness;
Ambition gone in futile searching,
Inspiration lost, so low,
I let my mind fall backward, slowly,
There's a place where I can go.
Where crystal canyons coax us down
To rainbow's end, a vale
Of green and silver, softly shining
Winding leafy trail.
A peaceful, easy wandering
Through tales of happy endings,
Of memories of sunshine days
And two hearts interblendings.
When love was sweet and time stood still
Our joy was each the same,
And paradise was anywhere
That we could play Love's game.
When earthly things were lost to me,
My dreams, so high they flew,
My every waking, sleeping thought
Was how much I Love You.
Not much in this life can last
I thought so when we parted,
Yet still a spark lives on, down deep
Inside, in depths uncharted.
Thank you for the memories
I still can think of, sighing,
They're mine to have when times are bad
And life's just not worth trying;
So if you're ever feeling low,
And sick of false companions,
Just close your eyes and come with me
To our love's crystal canyons.
