FALLING UP

I'm falling up, and you may think me silly,

most people take the easy way, and drop,

the road of life is often rather hilly,

it's never simple climbing to the top.

Too many waste their lives by going under,

as waves of trouble drag them down below,

surrendering to dark and stormy thunder

because they see no other way to go.

An undertow can drown you in depression,

but, like a bubble, lift and float away,

if life is only once - leave an impression!

Look to the blue and rise above the gray.

It's easy to capitulate to pressure,

and hard sometimes to view the glass half full,

but every day will yield a buried treasure

if you resist perdition's heavy pull.

So fly into the face of tribulation,

aim high, and open every uphill door,

remember all the laws of aviation,

you won't fly like an eagle till you soar.

Embrace the sky and form a new alliance,

reach up and see the stars for what they're worth,

give gravity the finger of defiance,

and never let it drag you down to earth.
