If I could live a
thousand lifetimes, never, ever die,
Nine hundred
ninety-nine of them would be just like a blink of eye,
I'd never see a
sunset, hear a soaring seagull's call,
For without you to share
it with, 'twould be no life at all.
If I should live a
million years I'd live alone and blue,
Just thinking of the
one sweet life I'd spent on Earth with you,
I'd live it oft and
o'er again, sit alone and wonder
Why life's sweet
summer, sunshine days need turn to rain and thunder.
If I should live
till this world's end I'd shed no sorry tears,
Eternity would be a
bore compared to our few years,
So though this life
is short and sweet my time with you I'll spend,
And when we
leave this world my thoughts of you will never end.
