...do seahorses kiss?

Galloping over a reefy wonderland

and hiding under a coral sky

as their tails entwine?

I’ll bet you a starfish they do,

... if turtles really mate for life,

do they ever quarrel?

Would either of them recognize

the one of the hundreds of eggs

that survives against all odds?

I’ll bet you a teardrop they would.

...why do whales swim in schools?

They aren't afraid of the dark, so

are they scared of the pointed harpoon of

being alone in a big blue ocean?

I’ll bet you a love song they are.
