I've seen you shiver in the darkness,
Chilled by cold or rain or storm
Wanting someone's arms around you,
Needing someone soft and warm.
I've seen you looking with a longing
In your eyes of secret deeds,
Siren's smile upon your lips
Revealing all your loving needs.
I've seen you lying, dreaming, sleeping,
Rhythmic rising, falling breast,
Child-like smile of innocence and
Worries gone in blissful rest.
I've seen your two lips, soft, inviting,
Promised taste of summer wine,
Cruise to heaven, stay forever,
Our two bodies locked, entwined.
I've seen you in the winter sunshine,
Walking slowly, hand in hand,
Cool blue sea and birds and flowers,
Leaving footprints in the sand.
I've seen you in the humid garden,
Like a camera, my mind's eye,
Soft wind blowing, teasing tresses,
Silhouette against the sky.
I've seen you at the blue lake crater,
So unreal do those days seem,
Thought we owned the world together,
Days passed by in love's sweet dream.
All of these things I see clearly,
All of this I say is true,
In memory of our time together,
This I dedicate to you.
