Hello there, it's
Intestine and I wished to say hello,
Us unimportant vital
bits have feelings too, you know;
Oh yes, I've heard the
hype about the famous Lungs and Hearts,
but now and then please
spare a thought for minor body parts!
Now there's my mate, the
Pancreas, important stuff does he,
He never starred on
House, E.R. or Grey's Anatomy;
And what of poor
Appendix? He's been slandered now for years!
We organs have some
feelings - would you want old Spleen in tears?
Not once have I
seen Duodenum ever crack a smile,
And your mistreatment
may have filled that frowning Duct with Bile;
Your kidneys, Liver - yes
I know, they're mentioned all the time,
but not one thought for
Colon - it's a Hippocratic crime!
So
spare no thought for
processing, just stuff food in your mouth,
Cause I'm the sap who has
the job of sending it down South;
And what if I declared a
strike and shut your backdoor drain?
Your lungs and Heart
could breathe and beat, but all would be in vain.
I'm
always sick of being
shunned, I feel so underneath,
And never have you
cleaned me, yet each day you brush your teeth;
I'm sat upon, forgotten,
as you sit upon your loo,
No,
smelly
breath won't kill you, but you'll die if you don't poo!
