I
feel the need to visit Sunset Key,
explore a beach that waits in time for me;
a
sandy paradise of ecstasy,
her green lagoon my love will entertain.
As
Cupid’s capsule guards me overhead,
I’ll
use Pacific passion for a bed,
and
dream of sunsets wild and wet and red,
till
dawn comes creeping over misty main.
If
lure should not induce a fish to bite
I’ll
dance upon the beach in robe of white,
and
cast a spell by shadowed firelight,
as
Southern sand turns into golden grain.
If I
should die tonight – before I’m slain
I’ll
pray to see my Sunset Key again.
