TOBY ZOMBIE

Toby was a zombie, like a doornail, he was dead,

trouble was, he didn't know it yet,

walking round the streets with flies a-buzzing round his head,

and a hungry werewolf for a pet.

Never got invited to the dances at the school,

maybe coz his skin was moldy green?

Or was it the fact that he would always laugh and drool

(quite a party trick at Halloween.)

Then he met a girl up near the cemetery one night,

skin so pale and eyes that stared ahead;

Toby was so smitten that he asked her for a bite,

knowing they would end up in his bed.

In the morning she was gone, she'd left a little note:

"Please don't try and find me!" that was that;

left him with two puncture marks upon his bloodless throat,

damn, he'd gone and pulled a vampire bat!

So he walks at night alone, he has no need for sun,

say hello if ever you should meet,

poor old Toby Zombie - just a corpse who has no fun,

but for once a year - at trick or treat!
