...I would tremble
Quiver as a
bowstring of an archer of yore
straining to flight
his shaft to the bull
Electric flutters
of sensation would flow
passing through
your heart
arresting it – then
pulsing a new beat,
a new life
For an aeon, or an
instant in time
tiny seismic
tremors would bid your eyelids flutter
and my voice to
fail
Your lips would try
to speak
but merely ripple a
smile
as your skin
blushes with suffusion
My legs would
threaten to fail me
as your eyes
reflect
the promise of love
My heart would be
forfeit
and yours forever
If we touched...
