If two were one the moon and sun would

cancel out the dark and light the

day and night would fade to grey

and never disappear

If two were nine no sun would shine a

dark and brooding cloud would

cry out loudly through the sky

in torrid atmosphere

If two were four and wanted more this

never-changing world would die then

multiply and somersault

into another year

If two were three the blind would see and

teach us how to pray to

find a way to leave behind

our apathy and fear

If two is two then me and you were

always meant to be as one till

time is done and words and rhyme

and numbers leave us here
